Japan Sencha is generally considered to be the best green tea in the world. Our Japanese Sencha green tea pyramids are made from 100% premium quality produced in the Kagoshima prefecture. The leaves are semi-fermented and steamed, they are then hand-rubbed and pan-fried which gives the large leaf its distinctive glossy appearance and feel.

Tasting Notes: A fresh, delicate and refined flavour. It makes a clear, sparkling pale yellow/green-coloured infusion and is a marvellous digestive. As with most green tea, to avoid a bitter taste, brew at a low temperature and remove bag from the water after a few minutes as indicated in our brewing guide. However, this green tea is very forgiving and does not turn bitter easily so the tea can be left to brew much longer than with normal green tea without bitterness.

Our eco-friendly tea pyramids are plastic-free and fully compostable, containing ethically sourced high-grade tea.

Caffeine Content: Low

Brewing Guide: 1 pyramid per cup. Brew up to 3 mins. Use boiling water cooled for a few minutes to approx. 80°c. Adjust both quantity and brew time according to desired strength. Drink without milk.
